Getting Started
New to Wiri? This guide takes you from your first login to your first completed sale — in under 10 minutes.
1. Logging In
After your demo or licence account is provisioned, you'll receive a welcome email with your login credentials. Go to app.wiri.food and sign in with your email and temporary password.
Tip: Change your password immediately after first login — go to Settings → Account and scroll to the Change Password section.
2. Set Up Your Restaurant Profile
Before you open for service, fill in your business details so they appear correctly on receipts and reports.
Go to Settings → Business Profile.
Enter your restaurant name, address, phone, and email.
Set your locale and currency under Settings → Account. This controls the currency symbol shown on all receipts and reports.
Set your tax mode — Exclusive (tax added on top) or Inclusive (tax included in the price). Your accountant can advise which applies to you.
Add a receipt footer if you'd like a custom message (e.g. "Thank you for dining with us!") on every printed receipt.
3. Build Your Menu
Your menu is the foundation of everything in Wiri — the POS, kitchen display, and online ordering all pull from it.
Go to Menu → Categories and create your menu sections (e.g. Starters, Mains, Desserts, Drinks).
Go to Menu → Items and add your dishes. Set the name, category, price, and whether it's currently available.
Add modifiers for items that have options — cooking preference, extras, size. Go to Menu → Modifier Groups, create a group, add the options, then attach the group to the relevant items.

4. Set Up Your Floor Plan
Go to Tables and add each table in your dining area — name, section, and seating capacity. Your POS will use this to assign orders to the right table.

5. Add Your Team
Go to Staff → Users and invite your team members. Assign each person a role (Manager, Cashier, Waiter, Kitchen) that controls what they can access.

6. Take Your First Order
Go to POS → New Sale. Select the table (for dine-in) or leave blank for takeaway.
Add items from your menu. Tap a category to browse, or search by name.
Select modifiers when prompted for items that require them (e.g. cooking preference).
Send to kitchen — the order appears on the Kitchen Display automatically.
Collect payment — tap Charge, select the payment method, and confirm. A receipt prints or can be emailed to the customer.

Tip: Your demo account comes pre-loaded with sample menu items and a floor plan so you can explore everything without setting it up first. You can clear the demo data from Settings when you're ready to go live.
